I’m not big on celebrating my birthday. And I certainly don’t expect my husband to get me anything big or fancy or surprising. If I did, then he’d have to expect the same, and I’m just not good at that type of stuff. Besides, I’ve got everything I could possibly want or need already. In fact, something arrived from Amazon, on my birthday, and I couldn’t figure out what I’d ordered. It didn’t occur to me that someone would send me a present. 😉
Anyway, my kids all called me. And my Mom. And one of my brothers. And my other brother texted and sent me a book. And my sister texted. One of my oldest, bestest friends sent me a birthday card. My other oldest, bestest friends all emailed me. And gazillions of people posted on Facebook. I felt quite special!
I also got an email from Regal Crown Club saying that I have a free small popcorn to use in the next couple of weeks – because it’s my birthday. And a free movie from RedBox. And free shipping from Macy’s (I don’t really need anything from Macy’s right now, but it’s good to know for next year).
It was a good day.
