Every year or so my computer has a major meltdown. In the past five years my hard drive has crashed twice (on or around my birthday). This year it got infected – some virus or trojan horse – that brought it (and me) to my knees.
Thankfully, I have somewhere to take it. It’s nearby and, as far as I’m concerned, they’re wizards. Worth every penny.
This year I decided that I wouldn’t become complacent about the health of my computer. I run Malwarebytes religiously every week. I’ve got a reminder in my file system to run it on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. I “might” even take my my computer in every year for a proactive checkup.
