Got My Calendar

2014 calendarI posted the other week that it was time to get a 2014 calendar. Last time I was at Costco I saw that their John Fielder calendars were in. They’re gorgeous. But I don’t hang mine on the wall. It lies on on my desk, so it doesn’t have to be beautiful. (But it does have to be spiral bound.)

Also, the John Fielder ones are pretty big. Substantially bigger than I need, now that the kids aren’t at home. Plus, they cost $9.89, which isn’t expensive, but it’s more than I’d like to pay. I also know they’ll be around for months, so there was no huge rush to grab one.

I’m glad I waited. I was at Rite Aid this week and their calendars were in. I got a perfectly nice one for $7.99. Plus, I paid with the discount gift card I bought from Cardpool which took approximately another 10% off.

I think it came to about $2.70 less than the Costco one. Not a big deal, I know. But, it’s not like I was cruising around looking for the cheapest calendar in metro Denver. I saw this one and I bought it. I’m not going to look for one that’s cheaper and then return the one I just got. 😉 (If I see a cheaper one, however, I might make a mental note of where I saw it for next year. This is the kind of thing my weird brain remembers.)

In any event, I’m pleased with my purchase. And when I go to yoga this morning, I’ll know that my calendar savings paid for it!
