I went to King Soopers today. Among other things, I was looking for two items that they had advertised on sale – condensed milk for my Vietnamese coffee and Annie’s Shells and White Cheddar for my daughter and her friends. Both were substantially discounted – the condensed milk from $1.79 to $1.29 and the macaroni from $1.67 to $1.
Of course, this invariably meant that King Soopers was out of both. It makes me wonder who’s in charge of matching inventory to their advertised specials! Anyway, not to miss out, I went to the trouble to get “rain checks” for both.
Rainchecks are good for a month. By the time the sale is over and the stock replenished, I won’t have any trouble buying up lots of both items. And I will buy LOTS!
